We shine a spotlight on the styles, colour palette, and fabric choices that form the foundation of our upcoming AW23 collection, 'Light & Space' – inspired by space-age design pioneer, Vico Magistretti, and the halcyon days of European furniture design.
Alongside such Far Afield stalwarts as the Station Jacket—returning in several wool jacquard options—and the 60s-inspired Watts Jacket in an opulent Moleskin fabric, we've introduced several new styles as part of our new Rainwear Pack; crafted from a water-repellent cotton/nylon blend. Our signature two-piece suit also returns in a luxurious brushed pile cloth.
There are two main headlines for our Knitwear category this season: fluffy statement knits in bold colour-ways and classic pieces inspired by mid-century menswear. We've crafted a large selection of chunky pullovers from chlorine-free wool in a wide range of textured knit techniques, and our much-loved Alfaro and Renard Polos return in several brand new hues.
Camp collar shirts form the cornerstone of the category, with archetypal workwear-inspired checks and block-colour corduroys being complimented by patterns and intricate weave techniques. We've also introduced a brand new relaxed silhouette inspired by Japanese heritage-wear, called the Day Shirt, which is offered in several plain and printed options.
A large percentage of our AW23 tops are crafted in Portugal from 100% organic cotton, and form part of our 'Premium Collection'. Breton-esque stripes sit alongside graphic t-shirts inspired by space-age design and mid-century European furniture. Funnel necks, rugby sweats and crew neck pullovers are perfect for layering throughout the year.
