SS21: Gods of the Seas

We’re proud to introduce our brand new SS21 collection: ‘Gods of the Seas’. This range of contemporary men’s clothing takes inspiration from the rise of the surf scene in 1960s USA; from the popular surf destinations of tropical Hawaii, to the big bold beaches of the West Coast.

Throughout the collection there are subtle nods to the hula girls and tropical fauna of Waikiki beach, the rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean, the crammed beaches and palm lined boulevards of Malibu to Huntington, and the now-iconic symbols of peace so prevalent during the anti-Vietnam war time.

Outerwear

With jackets usually at the top end of the price spectrum, we feel it’s only right that spring/summer offerings be suitable for year-round-use. That’s why the majority of our SS21 outerwear falls firmly in the mid-weight category, and can be adapted for the colder months. Our brand new collection sees the return of four workwear-inspired styles, along with the introduction of two debutants; a fisherman-friendly smock and a preppy zipped number.

Knitwear

Our Anglo-Italian-inspired knitted polos have fast become a Far Afield flagship, thanks to their quality construction and 60s aesthetic. Fans of a mid-century modernist knit will be pleased to know that this season sees more options than ever, with the usual suspects returning in some cracking new colours, alongside some brand new styles. Expect to see delectable detailing in the shape of herringbone, pinstripes, ribbing and perforation.

Shirts

Much like the aforementioned knits, our summer shirts have proven extremely popular in recent years, and we’re hoping SS21’s offerings do not disappoint either. Lovers of a repeat pattern are in for a treat, with the collection’s theme providing an endless bounty of print inspiration; from hibiscus flowers and breaking waves, to surf boards and hula dancers. As usual, a range of collar options have been offered up to cater for all tastes.

Tops

For SS21, we’ve expanded our range of tops to include some brand new styles and fabrics. Late spring sees the launch of an exclusive capsule collection that consists of a sweat, hoodie and polo, all made from a terry towelling cloth. Whilst the main collection features some eye-catching graphic prints and rugby shirts, alongside a glut of horizontal stripe tees, akin to those lovely ones worn by the likes of The Beach Boys back in the day.

Legwear

The collection’s laid-back, beach-inspired theme gave the design team scope to introduce some more relaxed, less formal styles. The result? A straight leg drawstring trouser in a textured linen, and a subtly tapered fatigue style pant in a hard-wearing twill. All other usual suspects return in some brand news colours across a range of stunning fabrics; including 100% organic cotton, textured linen and seersucker, to name a few.
