Sustainable Material Choices

A lot of effort goes into sourcing the right materials for our clothes to ensure we're minimising our impact.

Organic Cotton

It takes a lot of water to manufacture cotton. So much so that it can seriously impact the local communities, causing shortages and other environmental impact.

We're careful to ensure the organic cotton we source contributes and works in harmony with the local area.

BCI Cotton

Our BCI cotton garments adhere to the Better Cotton Standard Sysem. This scheme works to improve environmental, economic and social sustainability of the cotton industry.

All BCI cotton comes from verified farms which focus on crop protection, water usage, soil health, biodiversity, fibre quality and decent working working conditions.

Upcycled Cotton

For certain products, we use an upcycled fabric or yarn. By using raw materials/finished materials that would have otherwise been wasted, the manufacturing process is streamlined and uses less resources and energy.

Non-Mulesed Wool

The practice of mulesing in sheep can cause severe pain and even death in sheep. It is a practice which can be avoided in certain regions.

That is why we use wool from non-mulesed flocks where the negative impact on animal welfare is significantly reduced.

ECOVERO

Derived from certified renewable wood sources using an eco-responsible production process by meeting high environmental standards, ECVOVERO fibres tailor to a sustainable lifestyle, contributing to a cleaner environment.

Thanks to eco-responsible production practices such as wood sourcing, water usage and air emissions – ECOVERO has a significantly lower environmental impact than generic viscose.

Recycled Plastic Bottles

For our swimwear, we use a nylon that’s created from recycled plastic bottles. Removing bottles that would otherwise go into landfill or end up in the ocean.
